James C. Crowley has been actively involved in the field of sports law since 1989, when he formed the Cincinnati Bar Association's first sports and entertainment law committee. He has represented numerous baseball and football players throughout the last twenty years. He has also provided legal advice to pre-Olympic athletes, coaches, and trainers.
Crowley has lectured extensively on the topic of sports law before the Cincinnati Bar Association, the University of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University, and the University of Kentucky. He advised what was formerly known as the American Association of Triple-A Baseball (now a part of the Pacific Coast League).
Crowley was the Channel 9 local expert during the Pete Rose investigation and Marge Schott suspension. He has also participated in various sports-related business ventures involving sports memorabilia and sporting equipment.
